I purchased this business in 2009 after working for 25 years with my local Police Department in the clerical field. My daughter had some medical issues so it was necessary that I leave my job to be home with her.

I still needed to work though, for my own self worth. My husband thought we should purchase a business, this way I could still be home when needed. So we found this business for sale in our local news paper and the rest "they say" is history.

All production is conducted out of my home studio where I do all the cutting, sewing and artwork. Other than Etsy, I sell my wall decor at craft shows, as well as a few retail stores and on-line. I was told about Etsy a few years ago from people I met at craft shows. They said I should check it out since my product is "hand made" and that Etsy was a web site just for hand made products. So in conclusion, the power of word-of-mouth led me to Etsy!
